Denae - that is a good book. Thanks for having me read it.

I was feeling very sorry for the boy because he had to face up to his failure. What courage it took for him to face up to that. I honestly don't know what I would have done in his place.

What a delightful ending for one who who acted with integrity.

Doodah - I guess I'll have to get tutored by you regarding P&P.
I never read the Narnia books as a child but read them to my children.

When we lived in CO, the kids and I would drive back to CA and we always read or listened to books on tape. I remember reading the Narnia books and The Annotated Mona Lisa on those long drives through the desert. Good memories - for me.

You need to read the book The Empty Pot. What a story. Thinking that something you have set out to do and believing and remaining strong despite what you thoughts tell you.

I love Little Women, the Secret Garden, and Anne of Green Gables books! And like Kathleen Kelly (from you've got mail) I must have read Pride and Prejudice at least 200 times. I usually re-read the Harry Potters when a new book or movie is coming out. The Chronicles of Narnia... Lord of the Rings... Classics, I think, stand up to multiple reads, and the beloved books of childhood. Maybe I will find one of these and read it this weekend. :) Thanks for the inspiration!

I LOVED the Five Little Peppers and have one probably the same era as yours because my Grandma was a primary teacher and I was given most of her children's books. I couldn't get the NEA teacher's site to open. I was curious how appropriate their site really was, since they are ultra liberal.
