August Declutter Challenge – Summary Week 3

.

Here’s a recap of Week 3’s decluttering victories!

Day 15: Cleaned off whiteboard except for work phone number and a message from my son, “Love you Mom.”
Day 16: Threw away a pair of too-BIG brown slacks with a bleach stain.

Day 17: Threw away old juice from the fridge.

Day 18: Recyclyed a pile of papers and 3 boxes.

Day 19: Threw away 30 coupons and 4 Kool-Aid packets form 1994.

Day 20: Recycled a cookie tin, a tea tin and an empty bag from sugar.

Day 21: I threw away  . . . a brown eyeliner pencil, hair clip, half-used bottle of hand sanitizer, and promotional material (5 leaflets and 1 DVD) from 2005-2006.

I donated to the Goodwill . . .  2 camisoles, 1 black long-sleeved shirt, one ivory shell (top), and one multi-colored jacket.

I returned to church . . . Books and resources from a past church-wide study on The Peacemaker.

  • You did a GREAT job, not just a good job.

I LOVED how you said you’re also decluttering expectations – LOVE that!

I need to start keeping a list of all the great insights I’m getting from all of you. Thanks for that :)

I agree with Marcia. Love reading the expections you’re decluttering too. It makes it more personal to read.

We have all shared a LOT of insights and that is such a blessing! Been a real encouragement to me! this is great. I have to giggle at the 1994 Koolaid! We all have that stuff, don’t we?? When we get caught up on the decluttering and it becomes a habit, we won’t have that happen (at least not nearly as much) because decluttering will be a habit like turning the compost pile! :)

I HOPE I can keep this decluittering up. I’m seeing that I’m still messy. Maybe once all the clutter is gone, I won’t be messy.
