I am Taking a Break From My Vacation

My Study Vacation that is and just for tonight. Oops, I see the time and ought to be in bed.

Tonight the Women’s Ministry team got together to make fridge magnets for the tea on February24th. And they are soooooo cute! You want to know what it looks like? You have got to attend to get one.

Oh, and attend for the food, the pretty tables, the prayer time, the speaker, the other ladies. Okay - for the whole event.

But the magnets are adorable. Maybe someone will be able to post a picture of one.

So besides having a lot of laughs amidst the lavender (yes lavendar is invloved in the making of the magnet) we ate a scrumptious potluck of orange chicken, pasta, pear salad, cherry cider, and chocolate tofu pie.

Ladies, your magnets will come with a covering of laughter, friendship and prayers. I hope you all will attend. It is going to be an awesome time.

Shirley, we missed you.

Special Project Needs Special Women

Hey you CNC readers and bloggers! I have questions for you.

  • Do you like to gather information?
  • Interview People?
  • Write?

Then contact me today to hear about a special Mother’s Day project. It will bless your socks OFF to work on it. And of course the women will be blessed too.

I can’t do this all on my own and need lots of help. Pretty please with red licorice and M&M’s on top.

Women: 2 Tips to Silence Your Giant’s Taunting

Tip #1 Proper Mindset - “Focus on Giants –You Stumble. Focus on God – Your Giants Tumble” (Max Lucado).

Tip #2 Gather Your Ammunition – Join the women’s Facing Your Giants small group. It starts Wednesday, January 31, 9-11 am in Rudat Hall. This book by Max Lucado will give you ammunition for giant slaying. This small group will give you encouragement, friendship and prayer as you meet those giants head on.

Does your giant do this? “[Does] he taunt you with bills you can’t pay, people you can’t please, habits you can’t break, and failures you can’t face?”

Then you do this. “Rush your giant with a God-saturated soul… You can face your giant, even if you aren’t the strongest, the smartest, the best equipped, or the holiest.”

This women’s small group will help you do that. Sign up today. Write “no more giants small group” on your registration slip. Or call one of the co-leaders listed below.

If you have any questions, you can contact Lorna or Sarah Insco or the church office (635-5992).

Childcare is provided, but RSVP to Lorna ASAP so there will be adequate childcare.
