  • Forgive what might be an odd question – what is a Mug and Muffin Saturday? Do you just take those things with you?

    Keziah,

This is not an odd question. Sometimes I forget that my word choices are not understood by all. 🙂

At typical Mug and Muffin events throughout the United States, Women bring a coffee mug to drink from. Muffins are served whle the ladies have a short time together that includes a devotional time.

We will provide the mugs and offer other foods besides muffins; although we may have muffins.

This month’s speaker will talk (20ish minutes) on how to slay your giants (of depression, anger, divorce, wayward teen, insecurity, etc) or live with those you can’t slay.

The gist of it is to keep your focus on God and not on your circumstances.

We will then offer the women a chance to attend a Bible Study (How to Slay Your Giants) by Max Lucado. In this book, Lucado speaks on 5 stones that we need to throw at our giants.

Thanks for visiting. I always genjoy and get a lot out of your blog.
