“Don’t You Wonder Why the Stars Are in the Sky?”
Remember that song? It used to be popular in the 70’s.
“They’re telling you and I of the glory of God.
And every towering tree, is a witness be to the glory of God.”
This song has been circulating in my mind. It is a perfect response to Psalm 19. For Theology homework this past week, we had to reflect and meditate on Psalm 19 and come up with our own response.
What help for your daily life do you get from Psalm 19?

- What’s your response to Psalm 19
Not all instruction leads to wisdom or knowledge of God. I need to be discerning when I am looking for instruction. I want to make sure it is Godly instruction. Which is why I am attending seminary. I want to make sure that my worldview is godly.

Even if a person is not endowed with natural wisdom or insight, there is a way to get it. It is by studying the Scriptures. On some days I need all the help I can get!

The “job” of all creation is to glorify God. I want to be consistent in making sure that my words and thoughts are glorifying God. Are they showing God to be loving, trustworthy, wise and powerful? Or that He’s capricious, mean, uninformed and wimpy? The invisible God makes Himself known through His creation, His Word, and to the soul of the Believer. Am I paying attention to God’s presence in my life today? Do I believe that He wants to communicate to me?

Creation silently declares the glory and workmanship of God just by doing what it was created to do. I wonder if my actions are also a silent testimony to God’s glory and workmanship. Am I doing what I was created to do? Are you?

I have it as #19 in a songbook called Folk Encounter, published by Hope in 1973.

Thanks for bring back a great song, I was 16 and in a Youth Choirs that Traveled around California, Oregon, Washington , Singing W e were part of Memorial Baptist Church in Fresno, Ca. We called ourselfs the “Good Sounds”
we did a lot of Sonny Salsbury music back than and even cut a few records, we I had kept mine.

I too sang in a youth choir in high school and we did some of Sonny’s music…as an adult I got to work with him as a Jr-Hi camp director…Sonny and his wife Linda ran a camp called Ghormley Meadows…I just read a newsletter he put out 5 days ago so he’s still out doing his thing at 75 or 76 (nit sure)…he is an awesome person…everyone talking about him brings back great memories.

I was blessed to find Sing n Celebrate albums. I now have them on my Ipod and love to listen to this song. I heard this song for the first time, the week I found the Lord. Sonny Salsbury’s music always puts peace in my heart.
