Thanking God For My Spouse

Although he is an ex-spouse (e-s), I do want to thank God for e-s’s strong points and admirable qualities. The Lord has given me many blessings through e-s.

Here are 21 things (in no particular order) about e-s that I am thankful for:

  1. Humor

  2. Tenacity

  3. Work ethic

  4. Ability to play with the kiddos when they were young

  5. Asking for forgiveness when he was wrong

  6. Willingness to grow

  7. Love for You

  8. Intelligent mind

  9. Making sure we were always financially okay

  10. Way of making me feel secure

  11. Wanting to know my thoughts

  12. Desire for travel

  13. Twinkle-eyes and endearing smile

  14. Knowing and pushing me when I needed help growing

  15. Modeling of delayed gratification and good housekeeping

  16. Knowledge and love for Scripture

  17. Strong standards of righteousness

  18. Attempts to help our relationship last

  19. Courage to face his past hurts

  20. Integrity

  21. Love and care for my mother

    Susan – your graciousness is inspiring. What a testimony to the Holy Spirit’s power to make something that seems impossible to most folks with an ex-spouse, possible. You got a whole lotta Jesus Love in you!
