August 30 Day Declutter Challenge – Day 7

. at . Leave a comment

Organising Queen has been decluttering handbags. With each purse she tells its story. This has made it easier for her to let go of the item. I’m going to try that today.

For some reason I have a whole drawer full of candles (mainly candlestick variety) that are old. Some are 10 years old and my kiddos made them out of purple beeswax sheets. In fact, they went around the neighborhood selling them. I haven’t used them yet. What am I waiting for?  No matter how much I like the look of candles, I must not be a candle person.

Ouch! To admit that sounds like I must not be feminine. But, I do need to remember that the smell of some candles does make me ill.

Not the beeswax ones though. Maybe I should grab them out of the basket and light them right now?

Okay. I put them ALL in a basket and will take them to our ladies’ C.A.M.P. tomorrow night to give away.

Next time you declutter one or more items, tell us the story behind it. Maybe it will help you let go.
