17 on the Gratitude List
- 5 papers completed today – my brain is tired
- My dd was instrumental in the completion of the papers: encouragement at specific times throughout the day. I also challenged myself by pledging to pay her $20 for each paper (original goal was four) not completed.
- One load of laundry done
- 4. Theresa helped by making phone calls for me for tomorrow’s small group. We will be talking about Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah.
- 5. An on call babysitter for tomorrow’s small group
- Homemade (by me) brown sugar muffins topped with homemade plum jam
- Watching the fish in my fish tank while eating dinner
- Long hot shower
- God’s word – while doing my papers I’ve been reminded and encouraged to live according to certain principles. Biblical standards are given for compassionate reasons. Not only will this make God pleased, it will make me happy and help me avoid making mistakes that will cause me (and others) distress.
- Peppermint toothpaste
- Lemons (they didn’t grow very big this year) from my tree, sliced and put into my water jug
- Book I am reading about gratitude: Attitudes of Gratitude by MJ Ryan
- My church family
- The flowers/plants that Shula and her family plant in front of the church office. They always look so nice.
- Great chiropractic adjustment today
- Money (from a house sitting job) to put into the bank
17. Snowman mug – I collect snowman mugs. I bought a really cute one from Mervyn’s today. I treated myself from the house-sitting money. The rest of the $ will go towards my deposit for the women’s retreat in June.
