Because it Helps, I Share My Weekly Blessings

I am doing this Friday’s Fave Five because it is helpful for me to think on the blessings that pass my way each week. You can do the same by going here. Or leave a comment.

1. Because I had to have new front brakes and a new roter, it was discovered I also needed a new radiator. So glad this was found out BEFORE I took my impromptu trip to Berkeley on Tuesday.

2. Because I was feeling down in the dumps (about my car and my dog‘s ill health), I decided to drive to Berkeley/Emeryville be around my kiddos. It was great timing because I got to celebrate my son’s 29th birthday with him, his girlfriend and my daughter.

3. Because my morning was fairly quiet at work, I got to take care of the piles on my floor. Now I just need to tackle my desk. Hopefully that will be resolved tomorrow.

4. Because Chip was ill when I came home from work, I cancelled my plans for the evening. It has been a lazy night which is something I could use after this busy week. The next three days will also be quite busy.

5. Because I kept Saturday free (just in case my boss asked me to work at the marriage seminar we are having at church), I am free to do something else he asked me to do. William Jessup University is having  a 3 class seminar on book writing/publishing. I will take notes for the both of us at this first class and then we will go to the other classes together.

Your Turn . . . What is something that has blessed you this week?

Happy birthday to your boy, too! I’m glad you could see him for his birthday week. And I know you’re so thankful that your car was in great working order before you drove to Berkeley.

    Enjoy that class!

Thanks, Willow. The class was an unexpected blessing. I am wondering what will happen as a result of me taking the class.

Hello Urailak, Since my kiddos moved about 90 minutes away, I never get to see them often enough. So I was pleased that I did something so spontaneous. Totally unlike me! Thanks for the blessing. 🙂

Hi Kari, I didn’t mention this in the post. The other blessing about my car is that I had the money in savings to pay for the repairs and for Chip’s vet bills from the same day. Not having to use my credit card is always a blessing.

    Happy birthday to your boy.

I’m glad the car problems were found before you took it out on the highway. Yikes. And reading in the comments it’s a bonus you didn’t have to use the credit card! Yay!

I’m so sorry your precious dog is ill. I know how hard that is. They really are members of the family, aren’t they, and it’s nerve wracking when they are ill. Hope he is better soon.

I like your “because” post! See, God was watching out for you and didn’t let you stranded on the road on your trip.

I hope you enjoyed the seminar. It sounds so interesting!

What a week for you! I loved reading about your impromptu trip to see your kids!

I think a seasonal bucket list is a great idea! Thanks for sharing!

Your idea about holding on to the picture of my daughter playing bride in the white sheet for when she gets married is brilliant! Thank you!
