Earl Grey Cookies – Tasty with Tea (and a recipe roundup)

. at . Leave a comment

I am drinking my way through my tea drawer. See this post to see the why.

I am also trying some recipes that would go with tea and completing tea-related crafts. My friend Marsha has made Earl Grey cookies twice to take to our annual Women’s Tea. Several weeks ago she and I made some. Here is my solo attempt.

Which do you prefer, orange frosted or unfrosted. If frosted, with or without a sprinkle of Earl Grey Tea.

This recipe for 2 dozen Earl Grey cookies is the one I used this time. There are at least a dozen recipes on the Internet. Most of them are the same, a main difference being whether or not orange extract or rind was added.

These taste best (imho) when they are thinly sliced. (Be sure to adjust the cooking time.) You get more of the Earl Grey flavour which is quite enjoyable in a cookie.

My favourite way to have Earl Grey Tea is in a cookie.

This cookie (in general) and this recipe (in specific) is a WINNER.
