How to Make an “Eyes on You” Glass Mug

I finished my iced tea and this is what was staring at me. I just need to let it set (cure) for 21 days and it will be top-shelf dishwasher safe.
I found this idea at Martha Stewart’s site last Halloween. I finally took the time to make it because I thought it was a great craft to accompany my 21 Days of Tea Series. It came out as I hoped.
Go here for the instructions. It is easy though . . .
- Cut out the design.
- Mod-podge the design to the underside of a glass or clear mug. Coat both sides of the paper, press paper onto glass and smooth out the air bubbles.
- Position the design so that you are looking at it straight on. The way I mod-podged the eyeball is perfect for a left-handed person.
- Apply 3 applications of mod-podge 2 hours apart.
- Let the glass or mug set for 21 days. This curing time will make the design top-shelf dishwasher safe.
- You could even mod-podge photos, sayings, or cute pictures.
Your Turn . . .
- Have you ever used mod-podge to do something like this? I haven’t.
- Which tea craft idea is your favourite? I can’t decide.
