31 Days of Finishing – Day 4: If the Answer Doesn’t Fit, Don’t Feel Compelled to Complete It

Day 4: How much does it cost to get my car's interior professionally cleaned? My mission today is to find out.

Day 4: How much does it cost to get my car’s interior professionally cleaned? My mission today is to find out.

I’ve always dreamed of getting the interior of my car professionally cleaned especially having the seats steam cleaned. So that was today’s to-do: find how much this service costs.

I first Googled for places in my area.

Can you believe that in today’s world not one place had a great website? (Or even good)

I ended up calling 2 places and visiting one in person.

YIKES! This is an expensive service.  After all the time and effort I put into this undertaking, I really wanted to get the interior cleaned. But I just cannot justify the expense.

Moral of the story? Sometimes despite much work put into a project, it is best to stop. Since the answers didn’t fit my budget, I ditched the idea. I am bummed. That was a lot of research that came to naught. But I know I made the correct choice.

During this month of October I am joining LOTS of bloggers hosted by The Nester who will be writing every day about a topic. My topic is about finishing. I will spend 31 minutes each day on a to-do item (from the secondary list).

NOTE: I did the research for this in October. Because of being discouraged, I didn’t share my answer. However I am now finished and posting it.

Go here for the Landing Page with all the posts (which go live as they are written). The list is towards the bottom of the page.

Your Turn . . .

  • Have you ever had your car seats or car interior professionally cleaned? Was it worth it?
  • Have you ever researched a potential purchase, trip, or service to then change your mind because of the cost? Did you put it on the back burner? Find an alternative? Or satisfy the need/want in another way? Please share your answers.
