31 Days of Finishing – Day 18: Pamper Yourself

Day 18 - This foot soak and scrub did not turn my feet blue like the last time I did this.

Day 18 – This foot soak and scrub did not turn my feet blue like the last time. But it felt just as marvelous.

What types of things go onto your secondary to-do list? What things do you hope will get done and if/when they do life is easier, happier, more streamlined. But if they don’t get done nothing earth-shattering will happen (like eviction, loss of a great deal, or serious health condition).

Is pampering yourself even on this secondary list? I say it should be an important part of this list.

Things don’t have to change the world to be important,” (Steve Jobs).

I  have been on my feet more than usual this week. Each night as I lay in bed, my feet have “voiced” their displeasure by throbbing me to sleep. So today I soaked my feet and sandals in a mini white tub full of suds, lemon slices and Scope.

Ahhhhh, that felt so good. And I pampered my sandals by scrubbing them clean. It only took 31 minutes to accomplish this pampering.

Moral of the story? Personal pampering not only gives you more energy,  it makes you look better, and it improves your mood. Win-win for you and all those around you! 😉

NOTE: To be totally honest, I should acknowledge that my daughter scrubbed my left foot. Due to a hip spur I cannot move my hands close enough to my feet to even clip the nails. But I still did not go over the 31 minutes of pampering.

During this month of October I am joining LOTS of bloggers hosted by The Nester who will be writing every day about a topic. My topic is about finishing. I will spend 31 minutes each day on a to-do item (from the secondary list).

I will write about it and share any productivity tips I find helpful to FINISHING things.

Go here for the Landing Page with all the posts (which go live as they are written). The list is towards the bottom of the page.

Your Turn . . .

  • Is pampering on your to-do list? Why or why not?
  • When was the last time you pampered yourself? Tell us about it.
  • Do you ever clean your shoes? I should do this more often. After I saw how clean they were afterwards, I wondered how dirty they must have been before.

Great note that we need to take time out to pamper ourselves. BTW, did I miss a link with how to make the foot soak? It sounds interesting.
