31 Days of Finishing – Day 19: Share Your Life
How good are you at sharing your life with people you don’t live with, especially family members? I let myself get too busy to snapchat a niece, send a card to a sister-in-law, or drive several hours to spend time with a cousin. I don’t see my kiddos often enough. And I surely do not spend enough time with my grand daughter.
Doing all these things are on my secondary to-do list. I finally did something about it. I created a private FaceBook group for family mini-video projects. Each month will have a theme. I’ve invited the family members to participate. And since most of us have smart phones, making and posting a video should be easy. In fact, if I can do it, anyone can.
October’s theme is music. My daughter and I filmed “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” because it is my grand daughter’s fave song. I hope others in the family post videos as I really want to see them more and get to know them better. I want them to share their lives with me.
Moral of the story? This video is silly and not very musically wonderful. But it is us sharing our life with other family members. A way to connect. A way to say, “Hello.” And I hope it brings a smile to their faces because it brought many to my face while we were making this.
During this month of October I am joining LOTS of bloggers hosted by The Nester who will be writing every day about a topic. My topic is about finishing. I will spend 31 minutes each day on a to-do item (from the secondary list).
I will write about it and share any productivity tips I find helpful to FINISHING things.
