Day 23 – Things in my Bathroom

“To me bathtubs are the epitome of luxury. Either you have no money to own one or you have no time to use one.” ~ Akilnathan Logeswaran

A bathroom is more than a toilet. It can also be a spa or a place to recuperate (by soaking in the tub). And there are things in my bathroom that bring joy. I am grateful for 3 things in my bathroom.

ONE. Shower/Bathtub Combo. I feel spoiled to have this type of “furniture” in my bathroom. As the above quote says, having a tub is a luxury; well, so is having a shower and both come with hot water. I have been to places where you use a bucket (of unheated water) to “bathe/shower.” And so I am very grateful to have all the above at my disposal whenever I want.

TWO. Rug That Covers Most of the Floor. We don’t have to be grateful for only the big things, like hot water and bathtub/shower. It is also the little things that can bring gratitude. I am grateful for a bathroom rug for 3 reasons. (1). I don’t like to step onto a wet floor when I exit the shower. (2) It absorbs any water that gets onto the floor so that I am safe from a slippery floor. (3) It protects my bare feet from the cold.

THREE. Blue Toilet Bowl Cleaner in Tablet Form. I don’t like the toilet bowl to be dirty  And it seemed like the bowl would get dirty way too often. So I like to use concentrated cleaning tablets in the tank to help combat that. I am grateful that because of this product, my toilet bowl says cleaner longer. And I know that with each flush there is “continuous cleaning action to sanitize, clean and deodorize” the bowl. This product turns the water blue, and I like that, too.

Your Turn . . . Look around your bathroom. What things bring you gratitude?

I am writing a gratitude series titled Grateful 43. I will do this for 43 days. And I will write three things for which I am grateful 4 each topic. Do you see the play on the words 43 and FOR THREE?  Go here for the 43 Days of Gratitude JOURNAL Prompts.
