Grateful 43 – Things in my House

Day 37 – Things in my house

I love my apartment home. It is quiet here (except for the periodic squawking chicken noise the fridge makes). There are things in my home that make it a beautiful, restful, safe, place to live. I am grateful 4 these 3 things in my house. (Oct. 19)

ONE. Photo blanket. I received a photo blanket as a gift. My daughter-in-law (and son) had photos of their two girls printed on it. I LOVE this blanket. I see it, talk to it, and pray over it every day! Right now as I write, it is in my line of sight. I am blessed to have these two as my granddaughters and to KNOW them.

TWO. Shower head water filter. I am sensitive to chlorine. Since 1986 I have tried to drink only de-chlorinated water. Last year I heard about shower head filters and I received one as a Christmas present. I am grateful to have this simple thing in my home that helps reduce the chlorine and other chemicals I’m exposed to especially since I get wrinkles, have naturally dry skin and suffer from asthma from time-to-time. THREE. Loveseat under a light. My fave spot to sit faces the photo blanket. This loveseat is comfy and sometimes I even take a nap here. But I LOVE that there is a light right above it; in fact there are two lights. Since I do most of my writing and reading in this spot, having lots of available light is very important to me. I am grateful that comfort, light, and furniture all align for ease in writing and reading.

Your Turn . . . Look around your home. Have a think. And answer this question, “I am grateful 4 these 3 things in my home.”

I am writing a gratitude series titled Grateful 43. I will do this for 43 days. And I will write three things for which I am grateful 4 each topic. Do you see the play on the words 43 and FOR THREE?  Go here for the 43 Days of Gratitude JOURNAL Prompts
