MORE vs less: Use a Declutter To-Do List

Day 20 – Write a specific declutter to-do list.
I have a friend who is a decluttering master. She shared a tip that WORKS for her.
Write down a decluttering to-do list for each area. And make the list specific.
- Don’t write. “Clean off table.”
- Do write, “Step One for cleaning off dining room table … Pile all papers together … Put all go-backs to other rooms in one pile … Throw away trash … Put wearables in one pile …
You get the idea, be specific. And by being specific you can declutter according to each to-do and not feel pressured to DO the WHOLE table in one time frame. You can do the decluttering according to the time and energy you have available.
Your Turn . . . Have you ever used a specific decluttering to-do list? I never have and will try it with a spot where I can see all the stuff. In my closet I am just taking out one box at a time.
Day 20 – 31 Minutes of Decluttering = Started cleaning out the closet on my porch. It has a mix-match of items out there: Christmas, art supplies, fall decorations, etc. I will need several more days of decluttering time to get this spot organized.
