Day 41 – Things about My Daughter-in-Law

Part of the wonderful thing about having grandchildren, is that they come with parents. My son and his wife (my daughter-in-law) are awesome parents. They are thoughtful, playful, consistent, and dedicated to each other and their girls. I am blessed to have Daniella as a daughter-in-law.

I am grateful for three things about my daughter-in-law.

ONE. Parenting style. Daniella is a wonderful mother to two (soon three) children.

  • She patiently and consistently guides them.
  • Daniella researches answers when unsure of what to do.
  • She genuinely enjoys spending time with her kiddos.
  • She ensures that I get time with them.

As a result, my granddaughters are a pleasure to be around. And we are getting to know each other.

TWO. Self-Care. Daniella is smart and capable. She does things that improve her life as a woman, mom, and wife. She is a great role-model for her daughters.

THREE. Hospitable. Daniella is open to having an open home to family and friends. We can come for the day or stay longer. She is kind and welcoming. It is a pleasure to be in her home.

Your Turn . . . Do you have a DIL? If yes, why are you grateful for her? … If you are a DIL, do you feel that your MIL appreciates you? Why do you believe this?

I am writing a gratitude series titled Grateful 43. I will do this for 43 days. And I will write three things for which I am grateful 4 each topic. Do you see the play on the words 43 and FOR THREE?  Go here for the 43 Days of Gratitude JOURNAL Prompts
