The date today? – September 24, 2018
How’s the weather? – 55°. degrees and sunny. The high will be 92°.
What chore around the house have you been putting off doing? – As usual, cooking for the week. When I make full or partial meals, I eat so much better.
What are you reading? – Living a Life You Love by Joyce Meyer and The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
A Scripture verse you’d like to share? – God claims the world as His. Everything and everyone belongs to Him! Psalm 24:1
A prayer request you’d like to share? – I want to take back control of my food intake. Please pray I rely on God’s will and power for this endeavor.
How about a creative project you are working on? – October is #Write31Days – a writing challenge: every October, every day. I am planning my posts and want to write a couple before October starts.
What special dish or baked item are you planning for this week? Beef Stroganoff (dairy free) – I don’t have a recipe yet.
Something coming up you’re looking forward to? – Going camping this weekend with the family. There are only two more camping trips planned for the year. After that, it might, just might, get cold around here.

I spent time with my grand children last week. We almost always do ART! We made and painted magnets.

We also played with stickers. It was most fun when we put the stickers on our faces.
Any parting thoughts? – My heart is full of gratitude … for things … like a new computer – mine broke last week … for people … like grand daughters who let me snuggle with them … for places … like my home and church – both are safe, heart touching places … for God …. who answers prayers and empowers me for His tasks for my life.

How’s the weather? – It is a sunny, hazy, 82° . The high is supposed to be 93°.
What are you wearing? – Black jeans, royal blue top
What chore around the house have you been putting off doing? – Decluttering my trunk – Decluttering in general is a never-ending task I procrastinate on.
What are you reading? – Lies Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and An Acceptable Time by Madeleine L’Engle
A Scripture verse you’d like to share? – Commit everything you do to the Lord.Trust Him, and He will help you. Psalm 37:5
A prayer request you’d like to share? – That I would be faithful in eating a healthy diet this week.
How about a creative project you are working on? – I still need to find yellow fabric for a back pack. I’ve gone to one store and didn’t find what I wanted. And the other project for this week, is to decorate a cake for a 2-year-old boy.
What special dish or baked item are you planning for this week? – Trying to perfect a vegan, gluten-free cake.
Something coming up you’re looking forward to? – Baking and delivering a birthday cake to a child in foster care.
Your latest acquisition? – I will buy two 9 inch round baking pans. today.

How’s the weather? Currently 58° with a high of 83°, the sky is hazy because of surrounding fires.
What are you wearing? – Plaid pj bottoms with matching salmon coloured top
What chore around the house have you been putting off doing? – Making up my mason jar salads and menu for the week
What are you reading? – Wisdom Psalms (for work) and Lies Women Believe: And the Truth that Sets Them Free Hardcover by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. This second book is for my September book club.
A Scripture verse you’d like to share.

A prayer request you’d like to share? What a blessing it can be to pray for one another! – That I would seek God’s wisdom and take time to meditate on His Word.
How about a creative project you are working on? One in progress or one still in your head. – Decide on the cake design for a 2-year-old’s birthday. … My daughter and I joined Cake4kids. This is an organization that makes birthday cakes for kiddos in the foster care system and for at risk kiddos.
What special dish or baked item are you planning for this week? – Something to do with zucchini.
Something coming up you’re looking forward to. – Auditioning to read a book for the blind. The audition is this Friday.
Your latest acquisition? – A 2018/2019 calendar from the dollar store. I LOVE to write in them. I don’t always look at them as I most often use my Google calendar on my cell phone.

How’s the weather?
It is cool (58 degrees) and the high will be 85. It is also cloudy (no chance of rain), a little breezy, and best of all no smell of smoke.
What are you wearing?
Plaid PJ bottoms and a black tee-shirt that says, “What doesn’t challenge you, doesn’t change you.”
What chore around the house have you been putting off doing?
Besides the ongoing work of decluttering, making up my menu for next week and prepping meals for it.
Is there anything in your fridge you need to throw out? What? Do you even recognize it?
Nope, it is in good shape.
What are you reading?

Buy yellow fabric for two little backpacks and sew them up.
What special dish or baked item are you planning for this week?
Good question and challenge. I’d like to make up (mason) jars of salad for lunches next week. And I’d like to make a stir fry with fresh veggies from my garden and from a friend’s garden.
Something coming up you’re looking forward to.
On Sunday, our church is sponsoring a community breakfast in a shopping center. In addition to breakfast, there will be two bounce houses, games with lots of candy as prizes, a face painter and a prayer booth.
Your latest acquisition?
Two number candles. I want to make a graphic for a post I am writing this week.

The eyes in this photo belong to one of my granddaughters. I made this with the Bible Lens app. It is easy to use and free.

I like this idea of checking in on my week, before it starts.. I like the idea of having a placeholder for some of my thoughts and activities. it is like a time capsule that I can enjoy looking at later in life.
