5 Reasons I Blog
I am catching this meme wave and am writing on why I blog. I got this idea from Middle Zone Musings. He got it from the thinking blog. LMK when you write such a post at your site. Or leave a comment here.
- My first intent was to share how my seminary and ministry work was progressing. I hoped that my supporters would be pleased with my progress. I didn’t want them to think they were supporting a slacker. I am uncomfortable with the idea of raising support and I frequently feel like I am not doing enough to justify receiving their money, friendship, and prayers. No one has ever said that to me.
- I am nosey. I love reading and researching and making connections with people I don’t know. I have learned so much about other cultures like from Planet Nomad. I have learned how other women my age are dealing with seminary and life like at See Through Faith. I have blogs on homemaking ideas and how to live frugally. My blogroll is always increasing. (Drives my sista nuts.) But I like to have these interesting blogs at my fingertips.
- It’s a fun and excellent way to keep in touch with my family and friends. Some have blogs and I hove reading their thoughts too. Since I am so busy, I am not able to always share a lot of my life with these dear folk. When I send a massive or miniscule post at 2 am, I won’t bother anyone. And they can get caught up at their leisure.
- I like to talk and share what I’m thinking. I like to teach and interact with ideas. As I go throughout my day, I constantly think, “Oh, I could write about that.” It’s a good thing I don’t have that much time to blog. You all would be commenting, “TOO much Information, Susan. Slow down!”
- I hope that something I write is encouraging and helps someone to hang in there. I hope I sometimes show how far I’ve come because of the support of family, friends, and God.
You didn’t ask, but the 6th reason I blog is because I am addicted to it!!
