poisoned perfume

Asthma straining ill-breathing lungs.

Back aching between pinched shoulders.

Tress mobbed by pink or white blossoms

.  .  .  scattering their scent.

The sweet scent floods the nostrils with pleasure

.  .  .  while the poisoned respiratory system struggles.

Which is why they sell so much allergy medicine in the spring. 😉 Sometimes you gotta take the bad with the good. 😦

Too true. I am grateful for the beautiful flowering plants and for the meds (allergy pills, nose sprays, and inhalers).

Allergies are a bummer, but at least there’s relief. I was blessed not to have to worry about it. Oddly enough, all of my kids suffer horribly in the spring. Beats me as to why that is?????
